Cookies and local storage
Cookies policy:
In accordance with Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce,
we inform you that this website uses cookies to improve and optimise the user experience.
Below you will find detailed information about what cookies are, which types are used on this site,
how to change your cookie settings and what happens if you disable them.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your device when you visit certain web pages.
Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user’s
browsing habits or their device and, depending on the information they contain and how the
device is used, they can be used to recognise the user.
What types of cookies does this website use?
Depending on who manages them, cookies can be:
-
Local cookies:
These are sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by the website owner
and are used to provide the service requested by the user.
-
Third-party cookies:
These are sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the
website owner, but by another organisation that processes the data obtained through cookies.
Depending on who manages them, cookies can be:
According to how long they remain active, cookies can be:

Session cookies:
These cookies are designed to collect and store data while the user is browsing
a website. They are typically used to store information needed only for providing a service
on a single visit (e.g. a list of products in a shopping cart).
-
Persistent cookies:
These cookies store data on the user’s device and can be accessed and processed for a period
defined by the controller of the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
Depending on who manages them, cookies can be:

Technical cookies:
These allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and use the different
options or services available, such as controlling data traffic, identifying the session,
accessing restricted areas, remembering items in an order, completing a purchase,
registering for an event, using security elements while browsing, storing content for
video or audio streaming, or sharing content via social networks.
-
Personalisation cookies:
These allow the user to access the service with certain predefined general settings on
their device, such as language, browser type or the regional configuration from which they
access the service.
-
Analytics cookies:
These cookies allow their owner to track and analyse the behaviour of the users of the
websites they are linked to. The information collected through this type of cookies is used
to measure the activity of the websites, application or platform and to build browsing
profiles of the users of those sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce
improvements based on the analysis of the usage data of the service.
-
Advertising cookies:
These allow the user to access the service with certain predefined general settings on
their device, such as language, browser type or the regional configuration from which they

Behavioural advertising cookies:
These cookies allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising
spaces that, where applicable, the publisher has included on a website, application or
platform from which it provides the requested service. These cookies store information on
user behaviour obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which
makes it possible to build a specific profile to display advertising based on it.

Are there only cookies?
Some websites may use other types of storage similar to cookies but with greater capacity,
such as other forms of local data storage on the user’s device, for example:
-
HTML5 localStorage and sessionStorage: space that a website can use on the user’s device.
These can usually be deleted by clearing the browsing history.
-
Flash “Local Shared Objects” (Silverlight “isolated storage”): they are stored inside the
Microsoft folder where the user profile is kept. You must go into that folder and delete them
manually (for example, Vimeo videos).
Flash is used to add multimedia elements to a website and, for that, it stores files on the
user’s device.
-
A web beacon is used to track your activity by inserting a tiny image you don’t even notice.
When you browse the web, it loads with the page and the server where the image is hosted
records the access time and how many times you have visited.
These files are more intrusive than cookies because they are harder to delete, store
more information and are independent of the browser used. We do not use this type of
storage.
